well we had to evacuate for ike .the bastard .so were did my parents decide to go? .central louisiana .to my grandmas old home .giant trees in the front not 20 feet from the house and all .yes what a lovely idea .not only that but lets get my sister, her two kids along, with my uncle bubba and aunt thelma .this is setting out to be a grand time
we pull in my grandmas driveway about noon .step out side the van ready to stretch our legs and let the dogs wee .only to turn black in seconds .and no I’m not exaggerating .the misquotes are awful .bigger then the ones we have in texas .which i didn’t figures was possible though it clearly be

my aunt kay is sitting in her car under the car port .i hadn’t noticed she was there as i was trying to stay on the ground with all the mosquitoes swarming me .she gets out of her car with the bad news that she’s not got a key to let us inside .hooray for picking here to evacuate to mom and dad

so we then go to marksville .it’s a town about 20 minutes from my grandma’s in evergreen .there’s a rather large indian casino there as well as wal-mart and other such stores .we drove around for 10-20 minutes and decide to stop at a burger king to discuss our options .my choice was going to austin like we usually do .my sister and mom call hotels which of coarse are all full .my niece and 3 nephews play on the little indoor play ground they have
our final choice? .go back to my grandmas and tough it out .the list of people in this three bedroom ,one bathroom house is my aunt thelma and uncle bubba .my sister and her two kids .my mom and dad .two of my nephews (brother’s kids) and myself .this is going to be a grand time isn’t it?
