traffic cop

i would love to have authority in a field such as traffic flow management .and if that's not a position i'd make one .having to leave for gustav it took us 5 hours to go what should have only taken one .the shoulders were die open only with the occasional broken down car on it .that could have easily have been put into the grass .yet the shoulders weren't used .they remained there unused for traffic and taunting us .well me at least

when we had to evacuate for hurricane rita (that was over shadowed by katrina that hit the month before) it took 12 hours to go what should have taken only 3 .and my dad noticed what was going on .say there's two lanes of traffic .the left lane is moving the right stopped .what would you do? .put your blinker on and get left right? and once you do what happens? that lane then stops only to have the right lane move now that there is a vacancy of space from all the cars that had gotten over .only to have it come to a stop from people getting out of the left and going back right .slowly and painfully inching forward .when you're on a highway inside a running car you should never be able to clearly focus on gravel .that was newton's fifth law as a matter of fact

have you ever been sitting behind someone on the highway .slowly creeping forward .and then all of a sudden you're moving along at highway speed as if there was some sort of invisible stop sign? .if you don't know what happened i'll tell you .some idiot over reacted and put on his brakes .more then likely also changing lanes in front of someone who then had to put on their brakes which caused the car behind them to follow in their actions .cars off in the other lanes are like cattle not thinking for them self only seeing brake lights coming on and not wanting to be left out in all the fun decide they as well need to stop for no reason .so a chain of events has just been set off faster the a wig fire .and where are you in all this .you're of coarse at the back next to me .sitting .frustrated .thinking "somebody better be dead up there"

moral is .and yes this blog i'm typing will be one of the few that has a moral .which is .don't be an idiot .if something happens don't assume erratic lane changing and frantic braking are the answer .because when you assume you make an ass our of you and me (ass+u+me) .and i do just fine on my own making an ass of myself
